She took up the sport at age four in La Pobla de Vallbona, Spain.
Reason for taking up the sport
"There wasn't any link to rhythmic gymnastics in my family. I came to this sport by chance. When I was only three I was walking at the sports complex in my hometown and I saw some girls practising rhythmic gymnastics. I was so interested that even though I was only three, I asked my mother to sign me up. I had to wait some months to get in."

She trains twice a day at the High Performance Centre [CAR] in Madrid, Spain.
