Reason for taking up the sport
"I was a hyperactive child. I was always climbing trees and I would usually fall and hit my head. I have scars on my head and on one leg. I did not know what gymnastics was. Then, my mother met my step-father and he saw potential in me. So I came to Sao Paulo [Brazil], I did a try out at the Olympic Centre and I stayed. I was already a little crazy so I saw that gymnastics would be my sport."
