Additional information
WORLD CHASE TAG CHAMPION
He scored the winning point for the United team in the final of World Chase Tag 4 in London, England, in 2019. "My buddies tease me a bit because 'tag world champion' sounds a bit ridiculous. But when they see the videos, they are impressed. I'm not a super-competitive person, but it made me happy to win. I'm proud of what we've done, it's a great accomplishment." He says the skills he has developed in parkour are an advantage in World Chase Tag. "You can do chase tag without doing parkour, but obviously it helps if you already have the basics. It's not the same motivation as in parkour. In chase tag, your goal is to touch the person, you don't necessarily pay attention to your technique. Before the competition, we took the time to analyse the terrain and the key obstacles. There is a lot of instinct, but also a bit of tactics. Some do a lot of small zigzags, while I try to use the long lateral lengths to pick up speed and dodge people." (lacote.ch, 04 Nov 2020)
