Clarification of Recognition Criteria for Elements

The goal of this publication is to provide a useful tool for judges and coaches to better understand difficulty recognition through input by the Fujitsu JSS (Judging Support System). Improving fairness, transparency and accuracy in judging is the JSS mission. The angles and distances shown through the JSS Multi-Angle View are more accurate than the human eye. No judge can be expected to be as accurate with close calls of small angles (or distances). There are also other execution factors that could determine final difficulty recognition of any element.

Scope of use of JSS : The JSS outputs are now available for all MAG and WAG apparatus at the World Championships. JSS has been and is used at the World Championships in cases of blocked scores and inquiries.
